After three years on boosted Hurricane 8 and a year on D09C, has played Hybrid MK for six months: to them it is a less tacky, lighter, more European D09C whose softer sponge keeps a great touch and isn't very sensitive to incoming spin; short play isn't as good as with Chinese rubbers, but it isn't springy.

One of their favourite rubbers, but it plays softer than its stated 48 degrees, and despite the grippy surface its spin potential is limited: their spinny serves carried much less spin on it than on other rubbers. They have only used it on carbon, worried it lacks mid-distance power on all-wood.

“It feels like 46 degree soft although it is officially 48. I guess the softer topsheet made the difference. Regarding spin. Despite the very grippy surface, the spin potential is very limited.”

Calls Hybrid MK on the backhand their favourite rubber to date: very direct and linear, giving the spin and speed they want depending on the brush. Now on Rasanter R45, which feels odd after it because it doesn't grip the ball as well.

“I have used Hybrid MK on my BH and i can tell you that it is still my favourite to date, makes me want to buy and use it now. Very direct, linear”
